Motion text

That this House endorses the work of the Probation Service in England and Wales; believes that probation staff should continue to be professionally trained in higher education; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to ensure that the work of the Service in the civil and criminal courts is properly resourced to fully meet the needs of sentencers and the community.
