BLOOD TRANSFUSION CENTRE, LANCASTER
EDM #258
Tabled 13 December 1994
1994-95 Session
That this House is appalled to note the amount of money already spent in seeking to rearrange the highly efficient Blood Transfusion Service, for example spending £1,257,000 on reviews of information technology, identity and communications, and new standard operating procedures; further notes that these sums have not been used for the benefit of blood donors or recipients but only in seeking to foist a totally unwarranted change upon a workforce who are totally opposed, and is convinced that the closure of the Lancaster Centre would have disastrous effects upon patients and hospitals in the North West.
