That this House congratulates M.Eric Cantona on his being elected Footballer of the Year 1996; believes this to be a well deserved award to a player of exceptional talent; recognises his extraordinary contribution to sporting endeavour in the Premiership this season; and wishes him many more successful seasons in English football with Manchester United.
