leave out from `House' to end and add `believes that increases above the rate of inflation in the pay of honourable and Right honourable Members would open those who have supported policies that have severly reduced the living standards and job security of millions of people and massively increased unemployment, poverty and homelessness to charges of hypocrisy and double standards.'.

That this House is convinced that the question of Members' and Ministers' pay should be referred to the Nolan Committee immediately with a request that they report with recommendations by 30th April.
