Motion text

That this House congratulates the workforce and management of Rolls Royce plc on its most recent export order for 32 Trent 700 engines for Emirates' new fleet of Airbus A330-200 airliners, valued at ú300 million; welcomes the large contribution the company is making to the increasing value of export orders being won by United Kingdom engineering companies; recognises that over the past months Rolls Royce plc has won valuable orders against intense worldwide competition, including the largest order ever, worth ú1.2 billion, from Singapore Airlines; and wishes the company continued success in this competitive market.
