REPORT OF THE PARLIAMENTARY COMMISSIONER FOR STANDARDS (Amendment 1)
leave out from 'interest' to end and add 'the Labour and other opposition parties should desist from seeking to create a synthetic campaign to delay Prorogation and instead should note the words of Sir Gordon Downey in his report to the Standards and Privileges Committee when he states that "it would have been against the interests of natural justice to have arbitrarily curtailed the inquiry to meet an electoral timetable"; and further notes that the opposition parties' campaign coincided with a week of outstanding economic news including a further and spectacular fall in unemployment.'.
