That this House congratulates the National Museums and Galleries Merseyside Conservation Centre in Liverpool for being selected European Museum of the Year; notes that this centre of excellence was selected from 57 museums in 23 countries and that this award has been won by the United Kingdom on only two previous occasions; and praises the centre's work in areas as diverse as caring for old masters paintings, Cromwell's boots, Beatles' gold discs and African masks.
