CONCESSIONARY TV LICENCES AND OWNER-OCCUPIED SHELTERED ACCOMMODATION

EDM (Early Day Motion) 1568: tabled on 16 July 1998

Tabled in the 1997-98 session.

Motion text

That this House believes that the current concessionary television licence scheme discriminates against owner-occupied sheltered accommodation; notes that point 'ii,c' of the qualifying criteria stipulates that accommodation must be provided or managed by a local authority, a housing association or a development corporation; and urges Her Majesty's Government to amend this criteria to include owner-occupied sheltered accommodation.
