leave out from 'midwifery' to end and add 'notes that the new Royal College of Midwives' Journal will be launched in January 1998 to inform midwives and reflect their views and concerns; welcomes the imminent birth of this new trade union journal for midwives; and wishes it every success.'.

Original motion text

That this House notes that Midwives, formerly the Midwives Chronicle, and currently the official journal of the Royal College of Midwives, in December this year will cease publication after 110 continuous years, making it the oldest magazine in the world devoted to the promotion of the skills of midwifery; congratulates Midwives on all its achievements over these years; and notes its demise with sadness.

These members had previously signed the motion, but have now withdrawn their support. The date shown is when the Member withdrew their signature from the motion.
