That this House welcomes the launch of BBC Knowledge, the BBC's new digital education service, which aims to provide practical learning that can make a difference to a broad audience; noting the desire of all honourable Members to raise educational standards, hopes that BBC Knowledge will combine the Corporation's traditional strengths in programming with the interactive potential of digital television and the Internet to create a useful new way to learn; and calls upon the Government to ensure the BBC makes BBC Knowledge available to a wide audience.
