That this House congratulates Aberdonian Paul Lawrie on his magnificent and dramatic victory in the 128th British Open at Carnoustie, the first British or European golfer to win the Open since 1992, the first home-based Scottish golfer to win the Championship in Scotland since 1893 and the first ever competitor to come through final qualifying to take the title.
