Motion text

That this House welcomes and applauds the work of the National Autistic Society in Autism Awareness Week 1999 to promote the rights and interests of people with autism; and calls upon the Government to ensure, through collaborative working across health, social security and education agencies, that there is accurate early identification and diagnosis for people with autistic spectrum conditions, and prompt, appropriate intervention to meet their needs.
