Motion text

That this House welcomes the 71.5 per cent. turnout in the ADT ballot for trade union recognition, resulting in a magnificent 67.3 per cent. Yes vote for recognition, given that it is the first ballot that has been conducted in Britain in line with the proposals of the White Paper 'Fairness at Work'; and congratulates the members, shop stewards and full-time officials of the AEEU on their efforts to ensure a successful ballot.
