At end add, "and urges Her Majesty's Government to introduce legislation to ban smoking in public places as an indication of the Government's determination to reduce the crippling burden on the Health Service caused by the effects of smoking, and to underline their desire to help stamp out smoking in school children.".

That this House welcomes the continuing decline in the percentage of schoolchildren who smoke cigarettes, as reported by the Social Survey of the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys in July.
