Motion text

That this House supports the principle that food animals should be slaughtered as near as possible to the point of production; believes that such transportation should be kept to a minimum in terms of duration, in vehicles designed and constructed with the welfare of animals in mind and with drivers and handlers trained and practised in the care of the animals in their charge; and calls upon the Government to take action.
