Suggested amendment

leave out from 'March' and insert 'as is their constitutional right, notes that the precedent for this was set some years ago when honourable Members on the Government benches at that time voted to introduce the poll tax in Scotland; and urges all honourable Members from all parts of the UK to vote for a ban on hunting.'.

Original motion text

That this House notes that 32 honourable Members with constituencies in Scotland saw fit to express their view on hunting in England and Wales when the House divided on 18th March, despite each of them having personally voted for the passing of the Scotland Act 1998 which devolved responsibility for this policy in Scotland to the Scottish Parliament; and urges these members to abstain on future votes on hunting legislation brought forward.
