Motion text

That this House considers that Granada plc and Carlton Communications plc have a moral and legal obligation towards funding ITV Digital; registers its condemnation of both Granada and Carlton if they cancel ITV Digital; expresses deep alarm that the loss of the legally promised payments by ITV Digital to the Football League could drive more than 20 league clubs out of business; and calls on the Government to make immediate representations to Granada and Carlton to ensure that the future of football league clubs is not threatened by any collapse of ITV Digital.
