Motion text

That this House notes with concern the decision to place ITV Digital into administration; notes the comments of the Minister for Tourism, Film and Broadcasting in this House on 25th March, just two days previously that concerns about ITV Digital were stupid speculation; and calls on the Government to make clear its commitment to digital television by taking immediate action to strengthen the digital terrestrial signal, increase the sales of television sets capable of receiving digital transmission and get a clear date for the switch off of the analogue television signal.
