That this House is concerned that, according to provisional figures issued by the National Assembly for Wales, lowland cattle and sheep farmers in Wales made a loss of income in 2001-02 for the second time in three years; notes that, while the agrimoney system of paying compensation for exchange rate losses came to an end in December 2001, second and third tranches of previous livestock agrimoney is available to be claimed; notes that the agrimoney packages are retrospective so compensate for income foregone in a previous year; further notes that all the other EU member states have historically claimed the EU funded share of agrimoney aid; and calls upon the Government to continue to assist farmers in this way by immediately claiming the agrimoney aid worth up to ú90 million.
