at end add 'and strongly believes that a viable and independent Palestinian state based on the post 1967 occupied territories should be urgently pursued by the international community, particularly the United States, and that all the main religions in the region should have full access to their holy places in Jerusalem.'.

That this House expresses its admiration and respect for the 50 Israeli army reserve officers and soldiers who have announced that they 'will no longer take part in the war for the ... purpose of occupying, deporting, destroying, blockading, killing, starving and humiliating an entire people,' namely the Palestinians; and thanks them for rescuing their country's good name from a government whose oppressive policies are immoral in themselves and, moreover, have failed to prevent an increasing toll of killed and injured innocent Israeli civilians, victims of terrorist attacks which Ariel Sharon calls on the beleaguered Yasser Arafat to prevent but which Sharon with his vastly stronger armed forces, police and intelligence services, is himself unable to prevent.
