Motion text

That this House welcomes the Age Equality Commission Bill presented by the honourable Member for Falmouth and Camborne as a Private Members Bill; recognises that older people face discrimination on a daily basis as consumers and as employees; supports the establishment of an Age Equality Commission with an agreed remit to advise government and business on legislation and practice; and believes that the Commission would represent an important step in tackling discrimination and protecting the interests of older persons in our society.
