Motion text

That this House believes that strong independent local television output plays a crucial role in the democratic and cultural life of the United Kingdom; notes with concern that the independent television companies are seeking permission to cut the amount of time devoted to local programming; and calls on the Independent Television Commission to stand up for local broadcasting.
