Motion text

That this House is concerned at the exorbitant levels of tax and duties applied to Scotch whisky in South Korea; believes this places Scotch whisky at a serious competitive disadvantage compared to other spirits, particularly locally distilled spirits; and calls upon the Government to press the President of Korea during his visit to the United Kingdom to remove these discriminatory taxes to allow Scotch whisky exports to compete on an equal footing.
