That this House notes the fact that the Labour honourable Members for Erith and Thamesmead, Redcar, North East Derbyshire, Rother Valley, Bootle, Kingswood, Leeds North West, South Ribble, Manchester, Withington, Cardiff West, Birmingham, Northfield, Cambridge, Blyth Valley, Gower, Barnsley West and Penistone, Peterborough, Leyton and Wanstead, Hammersmith and Fulham, Putney, Stockton North, Islington North, Keighley, Hornchurch, Coventry South, Bristol West, Caerphilly, Birmingham, Hodge Hill, Burton, Heywood and Middleton, Cunninghame South, Aberdeen Central, Stroud, Monmouth, Liverpool, Riverside, Sunderland North, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent Central, Stevenage, Aberavon, Walthamstow, Norwich North, Reading East, Selby and Wirral West voted against or failed to support the motion in the name of the Leader of the Opposition on university tuition fees on 25th June, despite having supported the Early Day Motion 799 tabled by the honourable Member for Selby; and calls on them to explain why they have failed to support a motion designed to protect the interests of students from hard-working but less well-off families who will not be eligible for the ú1,000 maintenance grant.
