Motion text

That this House notes that 6th May is World Asthma Day; congratulates the National Asthma Campaign on highlighting World Asthma Day and raising awareness of this condition; welcomes the launch of the National Asthma Campaign's Ten Point Charter which demonstrates the standard of care sufferers should be able to expect; further notes that an estimated four million people with asthma are struggling needlessly with symptoms because the National Health Service is not providing a high enough standard of care, causing them to face real restrictions on their quality of life when, with proper healthcare management, they could be living virtually symptom-free; and calls upon the Government to back the proposed improvements in primary care.
