Original motion text

That this House condemns the decision taken by the English County Cricket Board to put profit before principle and allow the Summer 2003 tour by the Zimbabwe cricket team to proceed; further notes that the team has been politically vetted by the illegitimate Mugabe regime; expresses concern that the tour will misleadingly suggest that the situation in Zimbabwe is getting back to normal; urges the Government to intensify international diplomatic efforts aimed at peacefully resolving the Zimbabwe crisis and bringing an end to the gratuitous suffering of millions of ordinary Zimbabweans; and supports the peaceful protest to take place at the test match on 22nd May.
