JOINING THE EURO (No. 2)
EDM #1342
Tabled 04 June 2003
2002-03 Session
That this House notes the results of a poll of senior constituency office holders of the Labour Party conducted by the Campaign Company on behalf of the Labour Movement for Europe, which shows 86.4 per cent. support for Britain joining the euro and only 5.2 per cent. suggesting that Britain should definitely not join; further notes that 70 per cent. of those polled support the Government calling a referendum in this Parliament; and looks forward to a successful Yes vote whenever that referendum is called.
