Motion text

That this House notes the recent disclosure that at least nine babies are known to have survived NHS abortions in recent years; is appalled that some of these babies were placed in dishes in hospital side rooms and left to die; further notes that this criminal neglect contrasts sharply with the neonatal care given to countless premature babies each year in hospitals throughout the United Kingdom; believes that these disclosures highlight the scandal of late-term abortion; and calls upon the Government to work with the BMA and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to ensure that all babies, whatever the circumstances of their birth, are given equal treatment and the chance of life.
