Motion text

That this House welcomes the victory of the Motherland and Democracy coalition in recent elections in Mongolia; congratulates them on winning a clear majority of votes in 39 out of 76 constituencies; notes that it was only the fourth ever free election held in that country and that the people of Mongolia have made their choice; regrets that the ruling Communist MPRP is denying its defeat and trying to change at any costs the final result of the election; and urges the Government to convey to the MPRP the message that there must be a smooth transition of power and that the democratically expressed will of the Mongolian people must be recognised.
