Motion text

That this House is concerned about gender inequality in sports winners' prize money and in particular the wide difference in prize money allocated to male and female events, for example, at Wimbledon; further notes the historical and continual contribution of women players to the game of tennis and to all sports not only in the UK but also on the world stage; and calls upon those sporting governing bodies which discriminate financially between the sexes to be fair and just in the allocation of prize money.
