Motion text

That this House notes the final destruction by Iranian authorities on 20th April of the Shrine of Quddus, a Baha'i holy site in the city of Babul; is deeply concerned by this act of desecration of a place of deep spiritual significance to the Baha'is of the world; observes that such an act is part of the ongoing persecution of the Baha'i faith and its members in the state of Iran; and urges the Government to intercede with the Iranian authorities to effect the return of the body of Quddus to the local Baha'i community so that the remains may be re-interred with proper respect immediately.
