That this House recognises that combined heat and power is one of the most cost-effective ways of reducing UK carbon emissions, especially in the industrial sector; enhances security of supply, boosts competitiveness and helps tackle fuel poverty; and urges the Government to set a realistic target for energy generated through combined heat and power and develop policies to meet it.
