Motion text

That this House supports the launch on 25th February at the House, of the Nursing Standard's campaign 'Nursing the Future', a year-long campaign to enhance the image and reputation of nursing and midwifery in the UK; and recognises that the campaign's nurse ambassadors will visit schools and colleges to tell young people about the many success stories relating to modern day nursing and midwifery practice, challenging and dispelling existing misconceptions about nursing and midwifery and encouraging them to consider a career is nursing and, therefore empowering all nurses and midwives to publicise what they do, raise the public profile of nurses and midwives and promote more respect for the professions.
