Motion text

That this House recognises the impact on the UK's carbon dioxide emissions of the recently announced airport expansion; notes the effect this will have on the Government's target to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 60 per cent. by 2050; recognises the Government's wish to include aviation in emissions trading schemes; notes that the Government has failed to produce modelling to assess the impact of bringing aviation into such schemes; and calls on the Government ot undertake such modelling urgently to establish the full impact of the increase in airport capacity described in the Aviation White Paper.
