Motion text

That this House supports the Russian Convoy Club and the Merchant Navy Association in their campaign to honour the heroic veterans of the Arctic Convoys, who endured atrocious conditions to supply Russia in World War Two and who played a major role in the defeat of the Nazi regime; and calls on the Government to end the injustice by requesting the Honours and Decoration Committee to make representation to Her Majesty the Queen to create a new medal as a fitting tribute to these brave men.
