Motion text

That this House is greatly concerned about recent speculation that ITV may shortly announce plans to close its Nottingham office and studio site and move their operations to Birmingham in the West Midlands; is alarmed that such a decision should be made without recourse to a full and proper consultation process; and believes such actions to be shortsighted and against the public interest as they would cause the loss of both valuable TV production skills and communicative opportunities in the East Midlands, which in turn would lead to a much more limited and inferior regional news and current affairs services for those people who live in that part of the country.

The first 6 Members who have signed to support the motion are the sponsors. The primary sponsor is generally the person who tabled the motion and has responsibility for it. The date shown is when the Member signed the motion.
