Motion text

That this House recognises that the Kashmir dispute remains unresolved over half a century after both India and Pakistan secured independence; further recognises the hardship and deaths that have been caused by this dispute; expresses its condemnation of any human rights violations that occur in either India or Pakistan-controlled Kashmir; supports any initiatives that will lead to a peaceful resolution of the dispute; wholeheartedly welcomes the new approach being taken by the Governments of India and Pakistan; and hopes that this will lead to a solution acceptable to all the people of Kashmir.
