Motion text

That this House calls for increased awareness and understanding of the physical and psychological effects of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) which affects five to 10 per cent. of women of working age; recognises that there is no 'one-treatment-fits-all' answer to PCOS management; notes with concern the scarce availability of electrolysis and laser treatment on the NHS; and urges the Government to ensure equal recognition is given to hirsutism as for all other symptoms of PCOS.
