Motion text

That this House salutes the passing of Harry Errington, the British-born son of Polish immigrants, who won the George Cross at the height of the London Blitz when, as a volunteer firefighter, he saved the lives of two trapped comrades in circumstances of great danger; recalls the sacrifice of over 300 firefighters who lost their lives in the London region alone; and pays tribute to all who manned the emergency services throughout countless attacks upon the United Kingdom during the Second World War.
