Motion text

That this House welcomes the aims of the British Heart Foundation's (BHF's) Real Valentine Appeal in highlighting the needs of the 2.7 million people living with coronary heart disease in the United Kingdom; recognises that although the death rate from coronary heart disease is falling, more people than ever are living with heart disease as a debilitating long-term condition; believes that BHF nurses can make a real difference to those living with heart disease through providing expert care and support for heart patients in their homes; and wishes the BHF well in its aim to generate ú1 million to fund and support more than 30 new nurses who will be able to help up to 10,000 more patients each year.
