Motion text

That this House applauds Breast Cancer Campaign, the only charity that specialises in funding independent breast cancer research throughout the UK, for granting over £10 million worth of research in the last 10 years; congratulates Breast Cancer Campaign for recently supporting 10 projects amounting to £1.2 million at research centres of excellence across the UK; recognises that almost 13,000 people will die of breast cancer in the UK in 2005; and calls on the Government to ensure that treatments which have been shown to be effective through initial laboratory work and subsequent clinical trials are made available to the patient along with sufficient resources as quickly as possible, to reduce deaths from breast cancer.
