Motion text

That this House welcomes the King's Fund Inquiry into care services for older people in London; notes that it makes an important contribution to the current debate around the Government's welcome Green Paper on modernising social care and is relevant across the UK and not just in London; notes with particular concern the Inquiry's observations about current restricted access to care and practical support for older people and the potential for much greater use of equipment to aid their mobility in their homes; and urges the Government and local authorities to incorporate the Inquiry's observations and their financial implications into the current debate on care services.
