Motion text

That this House congratulates the success of the London Olympic Bid Team in winning the Olympic Bid and bringing the Games to London in 2012; commends Lord Coe's leadership and the dedication of all those involved in the Bid; notes that the Olympic Games have the potential not only to regenerate the Olympic Site in East London but also to leave a lasting sporting legacy of benefit to the entire country; and looks forward to hosting a world-class event of which the whole country can be proud.
