Motion text

That this House acknowledges the tremendous work done by all those involved in bringing the 2012 Olympic Games to London; commends all the young athletes across the United Kingdom who are already working towards the goal of participation in those Games; and calls upon those responsible for the allocation of the various venues for events at the Games to give active consideration to each of the nations of the UK, including Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

after `Wales', insert `but recognises that any further displacement of Olympic facilities and events from London should only occur when the cost to long-suffering London Council Taxpayers is capped at the £625 million agreed at the time of the bid, rather than the unlimited liability forced by the Government'.
