Motion text

That this House congratulates the Isle of Man on its historic Gold and Bronze medal-winning performances at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne; welcomes the celebration of Commonwealth Day on the Isle of Man which took place on Monday 13th March 2006; recognises the shared heritage between the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man under the Crown and supports the participation of the Manx people in all Commonwealth and United Kingdom activities; looks forward to the Commonwealth Youth Games of 2011 being held on the Isle of Man; and hopes that this will help to foster even closer links between the Isle of Man, the United Kingdom and all the nations and territories of the Commonwealth.
