at end add `but believes that before this House votes to endorse this principle it shall have received and have had at least six months to consider, a report which shall be produced by a committee of not less than seven right hon. Members who shall have been appointed by Mr Speaker to consider the desirability and cost of replacing the Trident system, together with alternatives to that policy, and that no vote shall be taken unless the Government has furnished to that committee for its consideration all such documents and information as that committee shall require for the proper preparation on its report.'.

That this House believes that the United Kingdom should continue to possess a strategic nuclear deterrent as long as other countries have nuclear weapons; and accordingly endorses the principle of preparing to replace the Trident system with a successor generation of the nuclear deterrent.
