Motion text

That this House notes that while people enjoy the Christmas period many individuals and families will be left homeless; pays tribute to the work of organisations such as Shelter and Help the Homeless who support hundreds of thousands of people every year, supporting those who are homeless, campaigning to raise awareness of the root causes of homelessness, and looking to tackle poor quality housing; and calls on the Government to work closely with these organisations to improve the quality of housing and build on the lack of work done to reduce the incidence of homelessness and look to ensure that adequate housing standards are provided throughout the UK.
