That this House congratulates Hartlepool United Football Club upon achieving promotion to League One; recognises that the club during the 2006-07 season equalled the Football League record of eight consecutive victories without conceding a goal and achieved a club record by having a 23-match unbeaten league run; acknowledges the massive boost to the entire Borough of Hartlepool's morale and excellent promotion of the town for commercial, tourist and wider business purposes by the club's success and professionalism on the football field; commiserates with the club for narrowly missing out on securing its first piece of silverware in its history; and looks forward to seeing the club achieve promotion to the Football League Championship in its centenary season next year.
