Motion text

That this House congratulates all the winners at the 2007 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) television awards; notes another hugely successful year for British television; congratulates the British television actors such as Victoria Wood, Jim Broadbent, Ross Kemp and Ricky Gervais who won awards; in particular congratulates Richard Curtis on his election to a fellowship of BAFTA; commends the range and diversity of this year's BAFTA winners such as the Choir, Granada regional news coverage, See No Evil: The Moors Murders and the Hungarian Grand Prix; and further commends the work of BAFTA in developing and promoting the art forms of the moving image, by identifying and rewarding excellence and inspiring practitioners.
