Motion text

That this House welcomes the publication of Aiming High for Disabled Children: Better Support for Families, the HM Treasury and Department for Education and Skills review of disabled children's services, which includes £340 million of additional money to improve services; notes that the review delivers many of the recommendations from the report of the Parliamentary Hearings on Services for Disabled Children; further notes that the review also delivers the commitments made by Ministers in response to the Disabled Children (Family Support) Bill 2006; congratulates the Every Disabled Child Matters campaign and its supporters for their successful campaigning; and urges the Government to ensure that the Department of Health spending settlement also contains specific money for disabled children's services and that equivalent funding is made available to the devolved administrations to improve services for disabled children in all the UK nations.
